Literature Text

We go over the moon
Up into the mountaintops
And we fall down the chasms
Get scarred by the rocks
We've been all over the place
But we always seem to return

We end up back in the valley
Back where we began
We leave and leave again
But we always return
To our home

Our hearts break once more
Boxes litter the floor
Should be used to this now
But we're not
Shouldn't be crying
Should be numb by now

We're out of the valley again
New places, new faces, new plans
We should know these plans
Never work out, always burn out
Still we find ourselves
Returning once more

We end up back in the valley
Back where we began
We leave and leave again
But we always return
To our home

Now we're here once again
A new home
New friends, I don't know
How to cope
But at least we're in the valley
At least we're home

This is so true... we always seem to try to venture out on our own but then we always fall back on what we know as home
